I like the PHOTON PHUZZ & beginning the process of parts order towards build.
Has anyone attempted using a BC108 in place of a BC109 for Q1?
Directions state both sound great, I wasn’t certain that the pinout is identical?
Also has anyone tried a different diode for this build other than 1N4739 for D1?
I don’t think the transistor change is going to make much of a difference. I tried different transistors and found that higher gain transistors of around 400 hfe or greater worked better.
Pink Jimi Photon stated that the diode should not make that much of a difference. Look up the thread on “zener diode question” and you will have a more full explanation.
