InactiveHey all,
I have kind of a unique question and need which I think ParaMix can solve. I recognize that this is a big question with a lot of moving parts, so if no one answers I fully understand lol.
I have a combo pedal build that combines a Russian Muff and a Rat in a single enclosure, but things get a little weird because my buddy wants the signals in parallel with their own outputs as well as a summed output. To clarify, he wants the input to split to the Russian Muff and the Rat, he wants an individual out for the Muff, an individual out for the Rat, and then a summed output of both circuits together (3 outputs total).
I’m looking at the ParaMix and I’m wondering if the following routing option might be possible (using this link as a starting point: https://guitarpcb.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/BD_ParaMix.pdf )

What I’m worried about is feedback loops due to the additional outs being added on.
Lastly, I want all of this to be handled internally in the enclosure without any knobs outwardly facing (set it and forget it internally). This means I need a way to bypass or not utilize any switches, and to use internal trimpots. I don’t see a problem with swapping the outer pots with internal trimpots, but will this board support bypassing the Killswitch and SW1? I know I can bypass the footswitch by wiring directly into the in and out pads, but I want to make sure I have a functioning solution on my hands.
Anyways, thanks for anyone who endured reading through my nonsense. You’re all awesome and appreciated.

GuestAn interesting setup. Yes, you can add the extra outputs for the 2 outboard effects by tapping their outputs and sending to extra output jacks.
You can hard wire the “kill” switch, SW2 by placing a jumper between the 1 an 2 pads (it might be the 2 and 3 pads — I can’t tell from the schematic.) on the board. This will make the parallel effect active all the time.
Likewise, you can hard wire the phase switch, SW1 in the same manner with a jumper.
Ground loops should not be a problem. If these new outputs are combined back into the main output, there may be a phase issue. I hope this helps.

InactiveAwesome! I’m glad someone offers such a cool solution like this. Thank you very much for taking a look. I’ll try to make it back and report my findings after more testing in case anyone else needs a similar setup.
For the record, the purpose of this is that my bassist friend uses an Ampeg Anniversary SVT which has two inputs that are both active. He currently runs separate pedals into each input and then blends their volume to taste. Some gigs he doesn’t have access to his head and has to use an amp with a single input, so he can’t do his channel blend trick. Thus the summed output option that can run directly into a single amp input. The things we do for ridiculously heavy tones.

BarryKeymasterI see what is going on there and it is a great solution. I don’t think it is limited to ultra-heavy tones either.

InactiveAwesome thank you! And you’re right, it does sound good on lower gain settings as well. But it REALLY shines when it’s grinding away!
