Finished this one up today. Initially tried it with 2n5089s in Q3 and Q4 but found it a bit much with my rig so I swapped in 2n3904 and it works better for me. Box, toggle switch, stomp switch, pots, LED, and knobs are from Love My Switches. Capacitors and a couple of resistors I didn’t have came from Mouser. The TXTR trimmer was provided by Small Bear. Coated the bare box with clear enamel after the press on lettering was applied.

    Here’s the box:

    And the guts:

Next up will be the NostalgiTone Phaser because I’m more of a sucker for Phasers than I am for Fuzz.

Great job and thank you for posting Chuck!

The only thing I feel I need to mention is that the press-on letters for the Fuzz and Volume are reversed.

The f should be top right and the v top left. (easy fix)

Oops, I turned that thing over and over to make sure I had it right. That may change how I felt about the 2n5089s.

The purpose of my life is to serve as a warning to others.

The first thing I did is start scanning your build when you mentioned the transistors.

I am not saying you are incorrect but when I saw the f and v reversed on the labeling it did occur to me.

It is way more impressive when using the actual volume pot as a volume pot and the actual fuzz pot as the fuzz pot. Thank goodness the finish is a single thin coat and a little work with an Exacto blade will get the labeling corrected. Those 89s are still on my work bench.
