    Hey all,

I’m currently building the Mule Kicker, and the glass on the end of one of the 1N60P germanium diodes chipped off when i was bending the legs. I have a leftover pair of regular 1N60 germanium diodes that I’d gotten from StompBoxParts (so i’d hope they’re legit), would using those instead change the sound of the klon circuit much if at all?  I know the build doc doesn’t specify on the germanium diodes but the 1N60P were the ones included with the Mule Kicker Pro kit bundle, so i figured i’d ask.

    Thanks for any help

I would use those. They will be just fine.

If it helps I always use needle nose when bending leads on glass diodes.

Thank you! And yeah, I looked at the store page for the 1N60P right after it happened and saw that note about the pliers in red and had a nice sad laugh at myself XD. Will definitely be using them this time.
