My friend who has always been a huge pedal-head was moving away so I decided to make him a going away present. Perfect excuse to use a GBOF board I had just gotten and decided to add some flair and throw in an octave up.

My idea in building this was to try and make it sound like the description my friend had once described the solo to Ball and Biscuit, “like a stick of dynamite lit, crackling”. So i decided on a Fuzz Face with Bias knob and used 2 BC109C transistors.

I decided to build this on Tuesday and my friend was set to leave on Saturday so this entire thing, including painting and clear coat, was done in that time frame. Else the paintjob would have looked much better. Kinda felt like a hackathon or something, but a great exercise.

This one was a tight fit, and it really felt like building a ship in a bottle at some points. Almost used all GPCB parts here but there were no 3DPT daughterboards in stock at the time, would have probably made it a tad easier.
