    Hey all,

I am very excited to build the apollo tremolo. I am waiting on some sockets to ship and now my curiosity is getting the best of me.

Right now, I’m obsessed about the idea of modding this build (and others) so that I can use an expression pedal to substitute for a pot control. I have a good strategy ( I think) for tapping into the pcb at the pot connectors, maybe use a switch to go back and forth between stock pedal with pot and the exp pedal. However, I’m looking for a strategy for the exp pedal. I have a few options at my disposal. Could anyone suggest how to setup the exp pedal? Does anyone have links to schematics for modding on of the following options?

I think I have the following options to look at:
    1) Earnie Ball Jr passive volume
    2) Yamaha FC-7 expression pedal (uses a stereo jack)
    3) old wah shell?

    Followup questions:

Is it possible to create a exp pedal that can be switched to different pot ranges? In case I want to apply this to other pedals with different pot values? I am attempting the Cybercow sym mod, so my speed/rate pot is c100k.

RE the Apollo Tremolo… I see myself using the exp pedal to adjust the rate pot in order to bring the timing of the effect in line with live drumming, but not understanding (yet) how the pots react… is the space/gap pot a more useful pot to have on expression?I can’t find any demos that show how the sounds change while moving the pot. I will be testing the effect once the board is populated, but perhaps someone with more trem experience can see a better application here?

    Thanks! Happy building!
