    2 questions:

I’m working on the Emexar (Dist+) board and the one I have is v3, but the build guide is for a previous version. It looks like all the component numbers/values are the same, but…

    1) what is the MA pad on the v3 board (upper left corner)?

2). I’m using the 3PDT Wiring Board and cans figure out how to connect S1, S2, S3 to the wiring board.

    TIA

S4,5 and 6 aren’t used with the 3PDT board just ignore them and the main pcb LED and CLR and put your LED and CLR on the 3PDT board

The MA pad is for the Micro Amp and you can ignore that too detailed if you scroll down in the build doc for the original placement of R3

    Enjoy your build

Thanks, Billy. As usual, my ADHD got the best of me, lol. I read the whole document, but only skimmed the MA and 250 sections.

Haha I’ve skimmed on more than 1 occasion

Must be coming up to 500 pedals built, started audio probing one that worked then didn’t the other night only to eventually find I’d put my in cable to out and out to in on my test box

If that doesn’t take the prize for an apparently ‘experienced’ builder I don’t know what does!

Does it matter which of the two solder points you use for the 9v and Ground if you are not using the 3PDT board and will not be wiring a battery?

They are extra pads so if you did a continuity test with your DMM you will see that both +9v are connected and all grounds are connected to each other. We provide extra pads because many people prefer to add extra circuits inside one box. The extra pads make this very easy to do. So it would not matter.

Thanks Barry. So, I did something weird, then. My pedal doesn’t have any sound, whether on or off. Here are some pics.

Your in jack socket has the ground lug connected to the 3PDT swap the white and black wires around on the jack socket

I’ll do that. Thank you Billy! I was trying to follow the directions for v2 but I guess I got confused by the differences between v2 and v3.

Unfortunately, that didn’t fix it. Same thing.

I looked at the instructions again and, unless I’m missing something, I had the wires on the jacks correct the first time.

Never mind. I had only the input jack wrong and not the output. I think I need sleep. Thanks again!

The input jack only was wrong. The Tip of the Jack was going to ground.

There is hardly any difference between v2 and V3 except for moving the +9v pads and ground pads and a few items that are in a slightly different location however schematically it is the same.

The only thing aside from the wiring issue is I am not familiar with those 1N34A diodes you are using. If they are Russian for example then they are likely backwards from American or Asian diodes. In other words Stripe = Anode instead of Cathode.

That is just a guess based on what I see.
