My idea is if it worked and then did not work is you have an intermittent connection somewhere so recheck and reflow all off-board wiring as well as the components on the board.
Hey so I went ahead and reflowed my solder joints and no luck. Barry are you able to confirm the diode orientation for the board, also if I connected the MA correctly.
Check the voltage on pin 7. You should be getting about 9V.
Well that’s the problem. My IC seems to not be getting power. It reads 0 at pin 7. Any guesses as to why the IC is not getting power?
Check all power and ground connections at the board and at the power jack. Remove the IC and check for power at pin 7 on the socket.
I am only getting readings on pin 2,3, and 6. But none of the readings are above 1.0v. So I went ahead and resoldered the off board and on board. Still no luck… if I picked very hard on the low E string then I would get a quick dying amp sound, which was interesting but no luck still.
What are the voltages at the power jack, pin 7 with the IC installed, pin 7 with the IC removed?
