The kit that I have came with a three-lug, two-position toggle switch for SW1. I’m looking at both the wiring diagram and the schematic, and while I’m the furthest thing from an expert at reading either, it looks to me like there ought to be only two lugs on the toggle. Will that switch work for SW1 if I just wire it up to the first and third lugs and leave the middle lug unconnected?
Yes this works.
You simply wire to one of the outer lugs (either) and of course the center lug and you now have an SPST.
