I am wondering if anyone has encountered this issue. I built a Dr. Phybes, got the paired quad set of transistors and the pedal does phase. The issue is that when engaged, the volume drops by quite a bit. I know that is is an inherent issue with some older phase pedal designs, but it is quite a drop. Has anyone experienced this? Any thoughts at all would help. Again, overall the pedal works fine.

    Thanks in advance.

Post some pics so we can clearly see all component values and orientation

It could be a number of things causing low output poor in or out jack connection, incorrect value for the 150K mix resistors etc

Everything that I can see looks correct

Do you have an audio probe to try and locate where volume drops out

Post all you IC and transistor voltages

    Solved.

Hi Billy, I appreciate your help. I found one of the Q5 socket pins was not soldered at all. This fixed the issue.

    Thanks so much. Sounds great.
