Finally finished my Emexar based pedal – the 250 circuit version.  Unfortunately I have been busy away from my primary residence multiple times (week or two at a time) since late January so I have had to work on this project on and off for months.  It took awhile for the figuring out the board, pot and switch layout as well as a bit of planning to layout the drilling template for the project due to lots of measuring, but it came out well.  I call it the 250+ pedal, based on the DOD 250 OD Preamp with a switchable tonestack (ToneTweq).  It sounds great to my ears.  A little different beast compared to the MXR Distortion+ with Script and Block graphics that I built back in December of 2010, one of the first few pedals I built.  Instead of the old DOD logo, I added the BOP logo for Big O Pedals, LOL.  Had to be somewhat original.

    Below is the finished pedal.

Nice build and thanks for sharing.

I always felt that this was an excellent combo using the Tone TwEQ to add to the tone and functionality of either a Dist+ or DOD250.

heck ya man!  Looks awesome, I love the old school DOD grey box vibes.  You have motivated me to get my EMEXAR w/ToneEQ finished.

Man, that looks awesome! I really like the BOP logo—it gives it a unique touch. I’ve messed around with a few pedals myself, but nothing as complex as adding a switchable tonestack. I’m curious how much of a difference it makes to the sound compared to your MXR build from 2010. Now that you’ve got more experience, I bet it’s a whole different animal.
