for x-mas, my awesome lady gifted to me a Boss RC-500 loop pedal. it’s almost overkill for my purposes as a practice tool and metronome alternative. i made a few very bad loops and it sat on a shelf for a few weeks. once i revisited the controls and features, i realized how incredibly versatile it could be. the unit itself only has three stomp switches. with the optional Boss FS-5u or FS-6 footswitch, you can have an extra one or two switches. here’s my DIY dual footswitch i made in quite a hurry, following a useful instructables plan. all five stomp switches may be assigned to anything you like 🙂 start/stop drums, insert drum fill, track and slot select, on and on. this DIY footswitch is also compatible with other Boss RC loopers. https://www.instructables.com/Boss-FS-6-Clone-Build-your-own/
