Great thread! I wish I would have read this before building this pedal.  I’ve had a v1 board sitting around for quite some time. I completed it last night and had the same gain pot problem. of course, I didn’t realize I had that problem until I plugged it in. I love reading these old threads and seeing what you guys come up with in your troubleshooting. Now to tear it back apart and change the gain pot and R11.

Just confirming that the A250K and the R11/100K mods made it sound awesome.  Q3 lowest voltage is 8.7v.  But I like it.  This pedal had a fizziness sound before, but that is now gone.  This might just replace my amp distortion, which is modded Marshall TSL100.  Thanks to everyone for hard work and doing all the troubleshooting for all of us who are still learning.
