Hello community. Anyone have experienced an issue with the boost side of the beano bundle nostalgitone combo? When the bluesbreaker is on, the boost when activated is doing a wining steady sound. I reflowed solder, change the pot, checked every values….i even swapped the whole board for another one with new components but still the same results. I will try to put a clip of the issue.
thanx
I recommend posting your video on YouTube and sharing the link here.
Also, please upload clear pictures of everything, since you’ve encountered the same build issue twice, it likely points to using the same bad component or component value. The PCB itself is not the issue.
I built one of these several months ago with no issues. When I set all the controls to ’12’ with both pedals engaged, I get a little ‘white’ noise, which I assume is normal, but no squeal or whine. I would follow Barry’s advice about sending some close up pictures. Like they say, one picture is worth a thousand words.
Not surprised. I had this issue with a 1-Spot, thinking it was my built pedals, some without power filtering. Then I had the same issue with a commercially built pedal and the 1-Spot. It’s a noisy power supply, although I don’t remember it being this noisy in the past. So maybe something happened to the supply. Fixed the problem by getting a better and cleaner power supply.
