I’m working on an Add Verb as my first build. Everything went great with the resistors, but I’ve pulled out the capacitors and, while the others all look fine, C2 looks wrong. It’s supposed to be a 50pF ceramic, but is marked “471”, which Google tells me is a 470pF capacitor.

I’m planning to build with it anyways and see what happens, but thought I’d check in here about it. Does it sound like I did truly receive the wrong capacitor or am I interpreting things wrong? Any ideas what the 470pF capacitor would do to the final product?

This is what I received, from bottom to top, C1 to C9. C2 is the problem child.

    No you’re correct 471 is 470pf

That’s nearly 10 times bigger it will work but not as intended

I’d buy a 50pf or capacitor as advised in the build doc

Or if you’ve got a closer value use that

Thanks Billy, I appreciate your word of caution. I’ll take your advice and find something closer to original design.
