Quick question, does anyone know of a 3PDT adapter board with a boost like the AfterBlaster but that the footswitch turns on and off the boost instead of it having it be controlled via dip switch or a second footswitch (or just jumpering the AfterBlaster to be always on so it can be turned on and off via the footswitch). I’d like to build a boost that’s essentially a “Before” Blaster than can also just work independently as a clean-ish boost when the effect is off 🙂

The original versions of Barry’s Stage 3 and SHO-Nuf were 3DPT based.  The current version of the Stage 3 is is pot mounted – which is not exactly what you are looking for but it is quite small and it is a truly excellent boost.  I haven’t seen any other 3DPT mounted boosts.

You will want to verify with a continuity mode on a multimeter but if you’re brave enough you can try this janky method of bypassing the initial switch path. You would probably want to remove the traces on the 1st and 3rd column of the 3PDT PCB through-holes so it doesn’t interfere with the aforementioned switch path. This is one of several methods I can think of since it seems like you don’t want to use the DIP Switches, although it would be cleaner if you did. I’ve been thinking about this a lot since I’ve been wanting to do a pre+post boost options to a pedal combo.
