About six years ago I came up with the bright idea I would start etching my own boards – etching is easy, drilling all those holes is a pain, between eye strain and broken drill bits I’ll just buy a board. This was the first and most successful of those projects. It is a Noomerang (based on a runoffgrove project) which is supposed to be a modernized version of the Maestro Boomerang. It sounded okay but lacked gain so I initially added a pot mounted SHO to make it louder but it tended to be harsh and noisy. Decided it was time for a rehab. Changed the switch for a long shaft version from Small Bear, replaced the in/out jacks with sturdier versions, added a GuitarPCB 3PDT board with bi-color LED, and replaced the SHO with a Stage 3 with the bass boost switch. Also got rid of the questionable purple foot pad and knob I used in the initial build. The shell is from a Dunlop Bass Wah that was one of several I purchased as non-working that worked fine. The tredle parks in the up position.
The outside:

And the guts:

This one has a nice mellow sound that is different from any others I’ve heard or built so it’s got a place on the board.
Thanks for looking,
Chuck
