Hi and thanks for propably solving problems in my signalpath!

Sorry in advance if this has been under discussion here earlier. Atleast I couldn’t find any.

I’ll use paramix only to mix two guitar signals from different sources and I’m trying to make it as tiny as I can. That’s why I would like to omit the send jack.

Can I just wire the send jacks tip to ground or something like that?

Another thing that bothers me is that why send and return jack must be mono jack with contact switch? From schematics it seems to me that basic jack without contact switch would do fine (pardon me, I’m selftaught hobbyist without any degree on subject).

    Any help is appreciated!

Welcome Kauri. We are not as able to search old topics as well as we used to be. As I understand it some data got wiped out from the Knowledge Database. I’ll say first that lots of us have built a paramix into a 1590BB. If that is too big for the purpose then yes, you can omit the Send jack (and SW2, R3 and C3). Not sure how that Typo lasted so long but you are right the Send and Return jacks can be basic Mono jacks. The Insert In and Out jacks need be switched only, which will provide continuity when unused. Barry will need to fix the typo in the build doc. Thanks for that heads up. Let us know how things work out.

Thanks for quick reply! I finally had time to finish the build. It made it to 1590B. It was a tight fit but it eventually turned out great and it does the what I needed it for. I did as Playsfofun adviced, omitted SW2. R3 and C3. I also used regular mono jacks without contact swithes as discussed. Great product that saved me a lot of money!

Congrats, Kauri. Very 1960’s. Tight squeeze but it looks like good planning worked out. Well done.
