I am wanting to place a DPDT board in with a ToneTwEQ and also an Emerald Ringer.

On the ToneTwEQ I want to put it in place of C1 & C2, to allow for tightening up the low end. My thought is jumping out on the IN to C1 and then jumping back in at the OUT of C2. Does that sound feasible?

On the Emerald, I want to be able to put the DPDT in the clipping stage to offer another voice. I noticed on the board that D1 & D2 are printed in the same direction. My plan was to Jump off the Emerald to the DPDT at the D1 and return from the DPDT at the end of D2. I am used to seeing Diode pairs running opposite directions and am now rethinking my life!!!

    Any help would be nice.

This is all happening in a combo build with the DSOTM.

P.S. Barry and Everyone else, I appreciate what you do for the DIY community, You all are awesome!!

In the emerald ring those are not actually clipping diodes they’re used as part of the rectification circuit

There’s a few mods discussed here

The tone tweq is an active tone circuit, to tighten up the low end you’re better experimenting with C4 and associated resistors, although I’d personally leave it alone because it boosts and cuts frequencies so you could get your desired tone in conjunction with the other pots ie cut treble boost bass etc

Thank You Billy. I will look into that. I was basing my query off the build document. I will go stock with this one and see how she sounds. We have a couple big shows coming up and I want to get it finished PDQ. I’m always rushing to get finished, just to wait on someone else!!!!! LOL
