I want to be able to switch between 2 effects boards.

I’ve built one using a board from another supplier that was an effects loop switcher.

It seems like I read somewhere on here that someone used a 2KJ to accomplish the same thing.

If not a 2KJ perhaps something else.  I could probably wire up a 4PDT (I want status LEDs) without a PCB, but a board would make it simpler (I think).

    Thanks for any guidance.

Any of Barry’s 3PDT boards can be used to switch between 2 channels.

Use lug 2 as the IN.  Lug 1 sends to channel 1.  Lug 7 returns from channel 1.

Lug 3 sends to channel 2.  Lug 9 returns from channel 2.

Lug 8 is the OUT.  Not used if you need separate OUTS from lugs 7 and 9.

Lugs 4,5, and 6 provide LED status.

    Thanks wilkie1!

Had a “Duhhh” moment when I first saw your response.

Do you think there would be a need to ground the “off” channel to prevent popping or noise?

    Thanks again for your help.

That might be needed.  Try it and see.

the 3PDT GPCB board I have has lugs 7 & 9 tied together with no solder pad tied to them.

I don’t think that’s going to work for me.  I need 7 & 9 for the second effects send and return.

Think I’m gonna have to skip the PCB.

I think you are looking at the 3PDT wiring board numbering differently from the way we use it.

Read my suggestion above using this diagram.

    Forgive me wilkie1, I shouldn’t have typed lugs 7 & 9, should have typed 3 & 9.

On the pcb I have. lugs 3 & 9 are tied together and I didn’t find a solder pad that was connected to them.

    Sorry for the confusion.

    Thanks.
