Even at it’s minimum setting the boost is too loud.

Comparing the schematic, I don’t see the resistor that is referenced in the Stage 3 build docs to adjust for attenuation.

Anybody got a suggestion or a hack?

    Thanks.

The resistor added to the newer version only keeps your volume from dipping too low even at Mid rotation. It will not help if you are already too loud at minimum rotation.

If yours is too loud at minimum rotation I would suggest you have an issue.

First, what is your bias voltage?

Verify the Volume pot is not wired backward.

If that’s not it then verify all of the resistors.

I have built so many of these and (volume too loud) has never once been my experience, especially at minimum rotation.

Thanks Barry, I’ll check my resistor values.

I think the pot is wired right because it gets louder as it’s turned clockwise.

I had my voltage around 5 volts (whatever the build doc instructed).

But I’ll give another check this weekend.

    Thanks for your help.
