Sometime I just want to build a pedal and not deal with sourcing hard to find parts or drill and paint an enclosure. I’ve bought a few kits from Pedal Parts and Kits and this was a recent purchase. I usually build ODs and distortion pedals so I though I’d try a chorus pedal for a change. I have to mention how well these are packaged for shipping. It could fly out the door of a 737, hit the ground and still be intact, it’s packaged that well! Everything is labeled and individually packaged and the parts are always there. The cases are powder coated (I think) and way better than I do painting in the garage and they are pre drilled. Love it.

It took a few nights to put it together as I wasn’t trying to rush it by any means. Played it and tweaked the trimpot for the best sound and WOW Glad I built this. Another great board Barry!

With the finished pedal I decided to try another decal for the face plate. Had a few problems towards the end with trimming but it will do for now unless I rip it off and try again. This is using some transparent vinyl sticker sheets purchased online. I should have put the name of the pedal on it but I didn’t catch that until afterwards but the little guy on the front says it all.  The quality of the picture went down after I resized it to upload, it’s really not that grainy.

Thanks to all for your suggestions and tips on decals!

Looking good! Takes time, patience, and practice to getting good looking graphics. Here is the link for a very good YouTube video on how to install vinyl stickers. I too always had a hard time lining them up just right (you only get one shot). This video will show you a fool proof way of getting it right the first time! Here are most of my “practices”.

Looks great and thanks for sharing.

Have you watched my video on the main forum page?

Here it is again. It offers an idea as well as shows some handy corner cutters.

I’ve been using clear self-adhesive vinyl and a laser printer for mine.  The glue stick is an interesting idea.  Out of curiosity I tried the armor all and it never completely dries so I’ll go with Steve’s suggestion with the clear coat spray.  I did get one of those corner cutters and it’s pretty sweet, perfect every time.  Trying to do that with scissors just wasn’t cutting it.

Very nice pedal collection Steve!  As time allows I’ll go back to my previous builds and come up with some kind of decal to replace the handwritten ‘what the knob does’ on each one.
