I dig the Emerald Ring, brings a new flavor to my effects. One pleasant surprise I have found is that I have a EHX Triangle Big Muff Reissue, and when I just barely tap the strings with only that on, I get a slight high buzz/ting sound for about 3 seconds. When I have the Emerald Ring in front of it and engaged, the buzz/ting sound goes away. Not sure what the circuit is doing to the signal, but I like it. Is there are reason why this circuit would produce that type of filtering, and if so, how to mod the circuit to act as a filter in that regard without the octave effect? Is is because it is acting like a simple JFET buffer, or doing something else? Or is there such a filter to remove that type of noise from the chain? I do have a Boss NS-2 Noise suppressor with my dirt pedals in the effects loop. about 14 pedals on the board, and some of them display the same behavior. Not sure if it has to do with power supply, or what. Is there such a circuit that can filter that noise like this?
Let me know your thoughts/directions/instructions on the matter, please.
