I built two of these 2 two-in-one pedals over the weekend. (photos at the bottom)

I used a center off switch on every board to have two diode clipping options plus a diode lift option. I also used a 500k gain pot in the first circuit of each pedal (as in the high gain KoT mod). Otherwise, followed the standard kit/build document.

Really happy with the dynamic and gain option this gives.

Compared really well to a friends Analogman KoT and my vero KoT clone that lives on my main pedal board. Only major audible difference when build as per the PCB is that the hard clipping option is more of a hard edged dynamic sound due to the LED clipping rather then a subtle distortion.

It is also a tight-ish squeeze in a 1590BB enclosure. I also included some photos of the vero KoT builds I done in the past.

    Very Nice!

    Thank you for sharing.

I do have sets of the actual diodes used in the original KOT although I am not sure if anyone is interested in that or not.

After playing a few KoTs and PoTs (with the ‘proper’ diodes) compared to the vero builds I was doing last year, and this build, I don’t know if I could justify it! The compression from these is wonderful
