Started this one when the board came out and didn’t get it right.  Scavenged it for parts for other builds meaning to give it a second shot someday.  That day would be today.  The first pedal I built over a decade ago was a General Guitar Gadgets version of this pedal (kept modifying it until it became unworkable), followed by a Morning Glory-ish version on an Aion board (also much modded), still another straight up BB on a Pedal PCB board, and a KoT-ish version as well.  They’re all the same but different and something keeps pulling me back to this simple pedal.

    Here’s the guts:

    And the face:

The box (sanded the face with some 80 grit sand paper to get the diagonal streaks and coated it with flat clear) was actually intended for another 3 knob pedal that didn’t work out – changed the labels on two of the knobs, drilled a hole in the side for the switch and off we go.

I really like the LED clipping option and the treble trimmer on this one.  Currently using a JRC 4558 IC – I like it in this one.

    Thanks for looking,

    Chuck

Looks great Chuck!  One of my first pedals was also the GGG BB and I have also built several of the Aion model as well, but as you hinted at – the beauty of the Blues Buster is in its simplicity (comparatively) while still having some excellent options and killer tone.  I really like the “brushed” finish as well, nice look!
