    Greetings all!  First time poster here.

    I’m new to DIY guitar pedal forum and am looking for suggestions on for a reverb pedal project.  I’m looking for a reverb project that gets a very washy ambient sound.  I can post a name brand of something similar if that’s allowed.  I’d like the pedal to have a second foot switch that when pressed, allows for a max sustain (slowest possible decay) setting for the reverb trails.  I’d also be interested in adding a modulation effect just to the reverb side of the audio signal.

    The Add-Verb project looks like a fun a versatile pedal to make.  Would adding a max sustain mod to this just involve intercepting the two output signals from the BTDR-3H and feeding the output signal directly back into the two inputs for the chip? Any tips on adding a modulation circuit as well?

    Have a look at the BTDR3H datasheet James the circuit’s based on the PT2399

    There are also some fairly simple add on modulation boards that you may be able to add on I haven’t done it myself so can’t advise but I have added modulation daughter boards to delay builds

    The add verb us an excellent sounding reverb with the added delay it offers lots of tones from slapback to deep cavernous cave sounds

    Thanks Billy,

    I did a 30 minute dig through the links you’ve provided and it seems that I could switch between the pot and a 100k resistor to max the decay time from the IC.  If I wasn’t happy with the ‘tone’ of the reverb, I’d probably have to dig into the PT2399 chip, because it seems that the BTDR3H has a set LPF that is part of it’s design.  Maybe that’s why the Add-Verb has a tone control when integrating the stereo signals to mono… but you’d always be starting with the output of the last PT2399’s LPF.

    If you’re willing to share, I’d be interested in how you added the modulation to the D’Lay board.  Fundamentally, it seems like I would be using the same components since the BTDR3H is three PT2399’s.
