P.U.R.P – The Best Rangemaster PCB available!
Pump’d Up means you can use it with other negative-ground pedals because the charge pump changes it to Center Negative Polarity while retaining 100% of the tone in the Audio Path. The Plus means it has the modern mods you need.
A Classic PNP +ground circuit but uses a standard Negative Tip Power Supply. This is our revision of a vintage favorite! We have studied many versions of this classic circuit, and gave it the royal GuitarPCB treatment.
The Best Rangemaster PCB available, our Pump’d Up Rangemaster Plus and here is why:
Pump’d Up simply means you can use it in series with all other negative-ground pedals using a Negative Tip Supply.
The Plus means it has the modern mods you need: Switch between Classic Treble Boost, High & Mid Boost or Full Range Boost. Plus Bias adjustment trimmer and Grit adjustment trimmer.
This is our revision of a vintage favorite! We have studied many versions of this classic circuit, and gave it the royal GuitarPCB treatment. Included in this version is a charge pump, which allows you to use a vintage PNP Germanium or Silicon transistor and still share power with your other standard negative-ground pedals, or combine this with another circuit in the same enclosure and share a power source.
The original Rangemaster was a treble booster. This build incorporates (3) different tonal selections. The first will give you classic Rangemaster treble boost. The second setting boosts highs and mids. The third setting boosts the full tonal tonal range of a guitar, or “band pass” setting. With size in mind, the circuit board was designed to fit in a small, 1590A enclosure or larger.
Many still try to find Germanium PNP transistors but we have found Silicon to also work extremely well in this circuit, sound great and be more reliable.
