I accidentally wired the DC power backwards. There doesn’t appear to be any reverse protection in this circuit, but it somehow survived my stupidity. It worked fine after I switched the wires around.

Can I use a 5K pot with a 1.2K or 1.5K resistor across it? If so, should it go across the outer lugs of the pot?
