Anybody out there have tips on modifying the excellent Squishy Octopus optical compressor to include a switchable treble boost, a la the Janglebox? There’s plenty of info out there on how to implement treble boost on the standard OTA-based compressor circuits, including complete schematics of both the JangleBox itself and Rick’s Roger McGuinn model’s built-in compressor, (on which the Janglebox was allegedly based). But I like the more transparent nature of the optical circuit and would love to sneak some treble boost in there just for fun. Ideas??

Glancing at the schematic, my first trial (guess) would be to lower the values of C2 and\or C3 from 47nF to 22nF – or maybe even to 10nF. Socket and see.

Messing with C2 was my first impression too, so I’ll do some messing and see what happens. Ditto for C3, which wasn’t on my radar. Thanks!
