    Hi,

could someone please give my a quick advise how to install the LED (where + and -) on the board on the picture below and what i have to do with the pad below (on the picture) the 2 LED-pads?

    Thank you,

    Henrik

The flat of an LED and the banded side of a diode are the “Cathode” (negative side). The LED silkscreen outline is superimposed over the diode outline to demonstrate that either can used in that position with the Cathode pointed down as oriented in your photo.

Ah, so the highest pad on the picture is the positive, the 2nd the negative side (i think you meant the cathode) and the 3rd pad is for an londer ranged diode.

    Thank you very much,

    Henrik

It is a unique pad designed to illustrate exactly what was said. Use either LEDs or Silicon and Germanium diodes. There are pads for either.

Remember Flat Fat Cat for LEDs.

Henrik – yes. My lysdexia got the better of me. I have since corrected my comments.
