I am currently building a Blues Buster PCB and discovered that the C9 Capacitor is a 1uF Box capacitor.  All I have is a 1uF Electrolytic cap and a couple 1uF MLCC (multi layer ceramic capacitor) caps.  Could I substitute the Electrolytic cap at C9 as below?

Or can I use the 1uF MLCC that has a 20% tolerance?

I would use the 1 uF MLCC because it probably has a better lead spacing to fit.  Either one will work.

Thanks Wilkie.  That’s what I thought.  I figured I could jury rig the electrolytic if I had to – I have done it before on other projects.  If I ordered the correct part from Mouser, it was only going to have to pay a mere $8 in shipping for a part costing less than a dollar.

I will check the MLCC’s that I have for the value closest to 1uF (least % variation).
